SEO
What search engines and social sites see on your brand pages and directory.
Brand pages are ordinary Shopify pages on your own domain. Search engines find them in your sitemap, and each one has the Page title and Meta description you set in VendorDeck (Editing a brand). A hidden brand’s page is unpublished, so it leaves the sitemap too.
Structured data
The Brand page content block adds schema.org data to each brand page: a Brand with its name, description, logo, image and website, and a BreadcrumbList while breadcrumbs are on.
The directory prints every brand’s name and link in the page’s HTML, so search engines that don’t run JavaScript still see them.
Sharing images
Your theme already adds the sharing tags for a page’s title and description. The optional Brand SEO meta tags app embed adds the brand’s banner, or its logo, as the image when someone shares a brand page. Turn it on from the setup guide or under App embeds in the theme editor.
If your store has a social sharing image under Online Store > Preferences, your theme lists that image too, and some sites pick it first.
