title: AI content
description: Let AI draft a brand's descriptions and search engine listing, for one brand or up to 100 at once.
---

VendorDeck's AI writes four fields: the short description and description, and the page title and meta description. It works from the brand's name, its number of products and up to five product titles. It doesn't look the brand up online, so check names, facts and claims before you publish them.

## One brand

1. Open the brand and click **Generate with AI** next to **Content** or **Search engine listing**.
2. Pick the fields and a **Tone**. If your store sells in several languages, pick a **Language** too: text in another language goes into that [translation](/brands/translations).
3. Click **Generate**, then **Apply** to copy the text into the form.
4. Click **Save**. Nothing changes on your store until you do.

Search engine text is written from the brand's saved description, so save a new description before you generate it.

## Several brands

On **Brands**, select up to 100 brands and click **Generate AI content**. Choose the fields and a tone, then **Generate**.

The text is saved straight to the brands and their pages, and it replaces what those fields held. There's no undo. Brands are written one after another: you can close the window, and **View progress** on the banner opens it again.

## New brands

Turn on **Write content for new brands** in **Settings > AI content**. About a minute after a new vendor shows up in your products, VendorDeck writes all four fields for its brand in your default tone. It only writes for brands that have no text yet, and each takes two AI generations: brands past your monthly limit are left empty.

## Tones

**Expert** (the default), **Daring**, **Playful**, **Sophisticated**, **Persuasive** or **Supportive**. Change the default under **Settings > AI content > Default tone**. You can still pick another one each time.

## AI generations

Each request counts as one AI generation: one brand's descriptions take one, and its page title and meta description another. Failed requests don't count. Your plan sets how many you get a month ([Plans](/help/plans)), and the windows show how many a request takes and how many are left.
